1942-43 Cage Champs Cop All Crowns

The 1942-43 basketball team under the guidance of Mr. Tom Stanton, often considered one of the best coaches of basketball in the country, the Blue and Gold team cleaned up everything in the state that was worth cleaning up. They won the P.H.L title. They triumphed at the Normandy sub-regional tournament, then took the regional crown from the best teams in the district, and climaxed the season with four crushing victories at the State Meet in Springfield. Two members, Jack Maguire and Jim Solari, were placed on the “All State” quintet.
